First of Ten Finals Begins Today

Couldn't get myself to do a bloody blog with all that has transpired over the past week. Its been heartbreaking to say the least, where just 3 weeks ago we were dreaming of at least one trophy in the barren cabinets of the Emirates while here we are today possibly staring at ending another season without any. For any club and its supporters to be out of 3 cups in a matter of a couple of weeks is shattering to say the least and its no different with Arsenal. What takes the piss out of me is the media spotlight on our failing campaign and how we are a bunch of chokers !! I'd just like to point out that we are where we are without spending over 200 million quid in the transfer market and still lie one place above City. We are where we are without spending 55 million quid in the January market on two players and are fighting for the top spot in the Premier League unlike Liverpool who will have to deal with Europa League for the third consecutive season. Yet i see no doom and gloom mongers running riot at these clubs.

Why isn't anyone taking these clubs, their management and their players to the executioner i ask  ? The answer for me lies in the fact that deep inside all the haters of Arsenal  Football Club envy where we have reached over the past few years with the kind of budgets that we have been operating on and the kind of infrastructure we've created. Right from the stadium to the youth set up everything we have is world class. And all this achieved while building a squad on whom money spent is marginally higher than that of Any Caroll's transfer fees !! There my friends lie your answers. I'm not saying its a conspiracy by the world against Arsenal, sure we have matters to be sorted, but to get the kind of coverage and grief we have been getting over the past few weeks is astonishing.

Enough of that now. Today marks the beginning of the first of 10 Finals that could see us lifting the trophy anytime between the end of April and May considering we win every one of those games. Like you i have my doubts on that but realistically what we need to do is match Utd for a every result and turn the tide upon them when they come visit us at the Wengerdome. Considering they are in 3 cup competitions the league could actually be a realistic option because at the moment Utd do look threadbare and the fixture list will take its toll on them. Thus a win in today's game is all the more important, even more so than the FA cup match and the CL match that we recently played. Lose today and its another opportunity missed at going joint top of the table equal on points and the two week inter lull will play its two bit part in creating uncertainty in the minds of the Gooners who seem to have lost all hope for this season.

While it all looks rather straightforward, barring tonight's game, we will have our full strength line up when we play Blackburn after the inter lull. Which means we'll have Cesc, Theo and Song back and the Theo Van Nasregas set up can fire us home in the business end of the season. We certainly know the potency of the team when these fellas play and there's no doubting the fact that they will be fired up in the last 9 games (when they return) to bring home the big prize. Doubts continue at the back of our defense though and lets hope the Sqillielny partnership comes good for us. On Almunia, well the lesser said the better. Only hope can save us on the GK side of things. I secretly hope that Mad Jens has told Almunia that there would be a cast iron awaiting insertion in his arse for every blunder he makes during the game and three cast irons should be concede a goal with his stupidity. Wishful thinking you might say, Lehman's in the locker room is my retort.

So i expect the team to line up as below

Almunia (Yikes!!)
Sagna-Squillaci-Kos-Clichy
Wilshere-Ramsey
Bendtner-Nasri-Arshavin
RVP

Lehman, Chamakh, Denilson, Ignasi, Eboue, Gibbs, Rosicky

I expect Ramsey to get the start ahead of Denilson with Wenger having Wilshere playing as the wall between midfield and defensive while Ramsey does what he knows best and creates chances alongwith Nasri.
Don't be surprised if the manager will play Denilson though but expect him to make a few blunders and nearly cost us the game. Sorry for the negativity with him and trust me i am one of the last to slate one of our own but with  Denilson i have no patience left, WHATSOFUCKINGEVER !!
Roy Hodgson will have his team set up to defend deep and hit us on the break and we know that they are well capable of doing that (need i remind anyone of what happened when they visited us) Its down to us to take our chances and score a couple and then get into the pass the ball around mode. We also need to approach today's game with the urgency that we showed against Chelsea and close down WBA every time they have the ball. We should have learnt a lesson or two during the ball possession classes we took while we played Cuntalona !!

Here's to a 4-0 thrashing of the Baggies at the Hawthorns and Bolton doing us a massive favour by taking some points off Utd who kick off at the same time.

Down but definitely not out !!

‘It’s a total joke. How can I hear the whistle? Please explain that to me.One second between the whistle and me shooting? It makes it even worse. He’s been a joke all evening. What was he doing here? It’s a joke. These people are unbelievable. We feel betrayed because we worked so hard. The referee today killed the game.’

These my fellow Gooners are words from the flying Dutchman himself, stemming from the sending off that he received for a shot when he was flagged offside. We've learnt that the referee produced the card since he thought Robin was time wasting in kicking the ball on the goal !! You've taken the piss out of me, Mr Busacc-unt you despicable swiss whore of a referee.

Fair play to Barca for a performance which showed why they are regarded as the best footballing side on the planet at the moment. They played us off the park completely and did not allow us, as much as a sniff on goal throughout the match. They owned us all over the park and played a game of "donkey in the middle" with our players every time we tried to get it back. When we did get it back we obliged and handed it right back to them. Yet, until the red card all they had to brag about was the one goal and the fact that they were actually on the back foot and beginning to tire. But then fate and Busaccunt had other plans and we were down to 10 men.

Its difficult playing them 11 vs 11 but when you're one man down they looked for the kill and the scoreline really does flatter to deceive. Had it not been for Almunia the scoreline would have looked much worse. I guess he loves the games against Barca and puts in one sensational half every time we play them. The first goal was a thing of beauty and the second a clear penalty. No complaints, PENALTY ! Lucky for us, Busaccunt forgot to pull out his card for the challenge by Kos which resulted in the penalty. We did have a chance to kill the game in the 87th when jack played a sublime ball to Big Nik who instead of poking it over the keeper went for a first touch and we all know that his first touch is as bad as the refereeing. Could you imagine if he would've scored in the 87th and we would've held on for the next 7 Min's ?? Couldn't resist that thought, sorry back to reality now.

Wenger was reported to have had a spat in the tunnel and i do wish he would've knocked the daylights of the referee and Dani Alves and landed a drop kick on the back of Guardiola, thus paralysing him. Happy days. On the match Wenger said

‘I think two kinds of people can be unhappy: those who love Arsenal and those who love football can be frustrated with the referee’s decision because it’s very difficult to understand his attitude.
How can you kill a football game like that?  We have many regrets because we didn’t expect to lose the game like that. I feel sorry for people watching the game. If you have played football at a certain level you cannot understand that decision. It’s impossible. I just spoke to UEFA people. They are shocked as well.’

Enough said Wenger, lest you risk being given a 100 match touch line ban for uttering such things. I know it hasn't happened ever, but so hasn't a player been sent off for taking a shot on goal after the whistle blew for offside. FFS there were 95000 Spanish cunts blowing whistles when we had the ball, and you expect Robin to hear your whistle !!

How that cunt Abidal stayed on the pitch for grabbing RVP's neck, i do not know but hey stranger things have happened in football, like a player getting a yellow for a shot on goal !!

While on twitter Samir Nasri was quite vocal about his feelings on the match (read the last statement carefully), he tweeted " Thank you for your support once again you were amazing, sorry for the result, now we have to think about Man Utd game and we still have a league to win and by the way busacca is the best..pff

Well said boys and its good to the see the anger in the team at the way they have been undone two games in a row due to bad refereeing. Whats also great to see is that we have no drooping shoulders and no hung heads but a fire inside us to go for the next match and perform as if its our last. And that's all i have ever asked from this team. I could go another 6 years without a trophy if i saw my team take to the pitch every time with a desire to win the game and not just expect the opposition to roll over. The quicker we remove the memories of last night out of our minds the better it is. Let focus on knocking the scum out of the FA Cup now lads.

That's all from me today. Back tomorrow with news that Robin has been banned from CL football for 3 years, Wengers 100 match touch line ban and Busacca's kid getting admission into the La Masia. Nothing is beyond imagination after last night so i will not be surprised if any of the above come true.

Now a quick note to the fellow Gooners who read this blog about the fact that there has been a significant increase in traffic over the past couple of weeks and there has been a significant increase in page views as well. I'd like to Thank each and every one of you for the read's on this blog and look forward to continue with this for a long time to come. If you fancy a bit of banter too, do feel free and leave a comment or if you think there is something missing with this blog i fancy suggestions too.

Cheers Fellas.

Liverpool hand the title back in Arsenal's hands

Evening Gooners.

Am sure most of us had a brilliant Sunday watching the capitulation of Queen Fergie and her girls for the second game running. Boy oh boy did it make my day. Never have i so passionately cheered a team other than Arsenal, as i did for the Scousers. And they didn't let me down. Phew !! So that effectively puts us back in the race with our game in hand, and should we beat WBA by a difference of 4 goals, we should be top of the table come 19th of March. Had the lineman and the ref got their calls right all we would've needed at WBA would've been a simple win and gone 2 points clear. Water under the bridge.

I did not do a post match review on Sunday because in all honesty it felt exactly like our Carling Cup loss. WBA beating the Brums in the Midlands derby put me in great spirits pre match but sadly, that was the only joy i had on an otherwise lousy Saturday. The team tried hard, and for that there is no dispute. What pissed me off was the performance of the first half and the absolute lack of urgency the team showed. Am sure Wenger hurled a few shoes in that dressing room at half time cos they came out in the second with a lot more purpose and urgency. Another key factor to our second half performance was the substitution of Denilson. I don't know where to start on this guy. He frustrates the living hell out of me and i for one, cant understand the value he brings to this team. He has no creativity, more often than not slows play down in a counter, back passes the tits of the ball, rarely plays a forward pass, more often than not fouls a player in a dangerous area, cannot close down play, the list goes on and on.

I have no clue what Wenger sees in this nutter and if i was given a chance to speak to Wenger, this would be one of my first few questions. The moment Chamakh came on the team suddenly seemed to have got a new lease of life and more purpose and sadly the Morroccan did not have a goal to his name at the end of the game. Am not going to talk about the penalty and the offside since a lot of blood has already been drawn and no point going down that road. Wenger spoke after the game saying

'The players are very down and, of course, I worry about that,' This was a good opportunity but the team is mentally strong and the season is not over. We have a big game (Barcelona) and the size of the game will help.'

Liverpool's win against the Scum leaves them 3 points ahead of us with us having a game in hand plus a notable mention is the fact that the Scum have conceded 3 more than us. Yet for all and sundry we are the team in crisis. Up yours you stupid cunting Pundits and commentators. Lets hope that our draw at the weekend doesn't allow Chelsea to recover points over us and no guesses that i am rooting for Ian Holloway's warriors tonight.

The attention will now shift completely to Barcelona and the news that Fab will travel with the squad is encouraging. Wilshere too seems to have knocked off the ankle niggle that he carried at the end of the Barca game and will start. The news on Song's injury isn't good and it has now been confirmed that he will not be on the flight to Spain. Which worries me completely cos i have absolutely no belief that Denilson can do half the job that Song does and Diaby's performances are of the Jekyll and Hyde nature. feck knows which one will turn up on match day. More on that in tomorrows post. The boys have been speaking before the game as well, Fabregas says

'We will have to be completely at our peak if we want to be in the next round,' 'It's going to be different this year from last season because we have a first-leg lead this time, but we will still have to go there and think we must attack. 'They will have a lot of possession because that's how they play, at home especially. So we know what to expect and when we have the ball we'll have to play quickly, get players forward and try to score the away goal.'

What Fabregas forgets to mention in the above is the fact that the difference between last year and this is the fact that he will be playing as well. While our very own superstar with Arsenal DNA, Jack Wilshere says

"We know we can beat Barcelona, we did that at the Emirates. If we beat them again we know we have a good chance of winning the tournament. "We will go there with confidence but realise we have to defend well and hit them on the counter-attack. "If we get a goal, they will have to come at us but we can win there. "We do not want to go to Barcelona looking for a draw. It will be an open game and we will create chances. We are looking to score and then see what happens. "We have shown we have the character to come back from a goal down against the best team in the world and are going there with a massive amount of confidence.  Cesc is massive. He is our captain, our leader and great on the pitch "

I love the way this lad speaks and i do hope we can tie him down to a 20 year contract with a release clause of $ 100 billion. Doesn't kill anyone to dream does it ! What we can bet on tomorrow evening is the fact that this 19 year old midfield, legend in the making will play with his heart on his sleeve and play like this is the Champions League Finals. That's what i want from the rest, even if we lose it, it shouldn't be because one of the 11 felt they didn't need to try hard enough.

That's about it from me today. Back tomorrow with a full game preview.

High Five

Good Morning Gooners.

So i didn't get to see reports on JohnTerry's wife caught in bed with Cashley Cole as i had hoped i would but in return i was treated to a Goal fest from the B team against Orient. Is it just me or do most of you agree that the game wasn't a treat to watch with pretty flowing football and wasn't one with brilliant link up play for the goals. What it did do was show the efficiency of Arsenal in front of goal and all our 5 shots on goals being actually converted into goals. It helped to a large extent that Orient did not play a "plonk the ball in the opposition half" kind of game and use a mutant of a striker up front whom they would feed the balls to. Rather they tried to play football and the game actually witnessed more passes than the Arsenal vs Cuntalona game. Sweet !!

You know its your day when Abou Diaby manages to complete 100% of his passes and when Squillaci and Denilson manage to just pass the ball without falling over it or losing it. Almunia had his moments as well and did hard to convince the manager that he really is, that bad a keeper. How I'd love to see the back of that clown in the transfer window. He's right up there with the Kirkland's of the world. Cunt ! The game also signalled the return to form of our funky Moroccan who scored in the 7th to calm the nerves. Let's hope that builds confidence into him and he's back to his early season form. I actually feel sorry for the bloke, he's a top player who works really hard for the team and has brilliant link up play. If only he showed more balls in shooting from a distance, he'd be the whole package. And then Gael Clichy scored for Arsenal !!! That in itself is reason to celebrate and win a match. The shot on goal was sweet and i reckon he should try and belt them from the edge of the box a lot more than he does.

Now onto the Big Dane. Never have i known of a player who divides opinion as much as Nik does. He can be the most frustrating of blokes on the football pitch and sometimes looks too disinterested to even play, quite like a certain Berbatov. But what is undeniable is that the boy has talent and confidence, and that too, truck loads of it. At the start of the game he looked like he would be happy just dragging his arse all through the game and couldn't give a monkey's ass. But the three goals that followed, yes i count the penalty as well, were pure class from a player who is just 22 !! The first was a header that in my books was as good as a goal a striker can get, cos the cross didn't have the power in it. The second, which IMO is becoming a trademark of sorts with the Dane, was curler with his right foot and once again going for precision and placement rather than power. And the penalty too was a hard one, pounding the back of the net in the bottom corner. That makes it his second hatrick for the season and this display should bode well against Sunderland and Barca. Trust me folks this boy is a big game player and if he's given the time he will be a bloody legend at Arsenal. If only he could get his work rate and i don't give a damn attitude a shot in the balls he'll do just fine. He said after the game

“It was just what we needed to bounce back in a positive way and this was the best way we could have done it,” he said. We have to put that (Birmingham) behind us now, and learn from it. It is a part of football and you have to move on from that. It is done, they (Birmingham) won it [and] we didn't. We have three other things to focus on now and that is what we will do. We have the players and the mentality to create something special. At the end of the day, we know [we] are going to be rated on one thing, and that is what we are trying to achieve.”

Well said big guy. While on the Barca tie ahead he again had something to say !!

"This is a dream scenario (playing barca at the Nou Camp) It is a difficult place to go and Barcelona have not failed to score there in forever, but we have to try to do the same as we did [in the FA Cup win over Leyton Orient], try to be compact and press in a good way, to have a good balance in the team and then obviously take our chances because Barcelona always score when they play at home."

While on the other hand our injury list seems to be piling up. Song is out for S'land as well and might be back in the squad against Barca. Big miss for me this weekend. While Kos too is a doubt but is definitely OK for Barca. Great news comes in the form of Aaron Ramsey having a chance of returning to the squad for the S'land game. If he's back I'd love Wenger to give him a start and push him in the center of midfield with Nasri and Bendtner alongside him rather than play Nasri in the middle with Shava. Fingers Crossed. Cesc should definitely be back in for the Barca game and might travel with the team and be on the bench, should we need him to make an impact around the 70 minute mark. Lets hope not and that he just enjoys the ride to Tyneside with the boys and comes back as an unused sub. But this is Arsenal we are talking about, so don't count on things going easy tomorrow.

In other news Kolo Toure has tested positive for a banned substance and might face a 2 year ban. The results of the test on his A samples confirmed this and the B samples have now been called for questioning. I really hope that he gets away with it and it turns out to be a big mistake cos he is one of the nicest guys around and as we all know wouldnt have left Arsenal had Wenger not had blind faith in that French cunt from the Bridge. The mail reports that we are after Izzguirre from Celtic as a back up since Clichy may not extend his contract with Arsenal. The British media frustrate me with their cooked up stories. Even if Clichy did go, don't they know we already have a ready replacement in Gibbs for his position. FUCKKKKKK the hell off !!

And that about it from me today. Back tomorrow with a preview of sorts.

Time to stand up and deliver

Good Evening Gooners.

As our spirits were firmly going down south  following Sunday's events we found an unlikely hero in Frank Lampard who buried his penalty in the back of the net and bring a big wide smile to our faces. Yes, i know he is a cunt, one who is the crown prince of cuntery, the King's obviously being John 'keep me away from ur missus' Terry and Cashley Cole but you gotta admit, this is one cunt who bought a lot of joy into our lives and to some extent helped ease the pain of the Cup final defeat. Would that penalty have been a season changing goal in Arsenal's season only time will tell, but what its done is, for the moment at least, has brought a renewed sense of optimism in North London and a shot at the title. The attack on the title should start this weekend with Sunderland. and victory there will ensure that, by beating Utd at home we will definitely go two points clear of them and should only then match them for results week in and week out. More on that during the Sunderland review and pre match build up.

Moving onto some news ahead of tonight's match, Wenger has confirmed that dooms day is upon us by confirming RVP will be out for "at least 3 weeks" which in Arsenal terms means until early May. Fuck !! He says

"Unfortunately, we had bad news on the scan and he will be out for the next three weeks for sure,” said Wenger. “It could be longer. The shortest delay we can imagine is three weeks [so] he is definitely out for Barcelona"

That should help soothe the nerves ahead of barca shouldn't it ?? Anyways, lets hope we do at Mourinho at the Nou Camp and manage a clean sheet there playing a 8-1-1 formation. Wishful thinking innit !! I place my money on Chesney and Kos saving us in that one and making up for the howler in the finals.

Further short term injury news on Song who is out for tonight and S'land with a knock on his knee and Kos who has a tight hamstring. Chesney is resigned to a place on the bench for tonight with Almunia filling in. Conspiracy theories suggests that both of them have been dropped but most of us knew even before the cup finals that Wenger wouldnt play them tonight. Have a laugh at the British journos will ya. Cunts.

Rolling on to tonight's game, i expect the below line-up for the match. Expect Wenger to spring a surprise or two though

Almunia
Eboue-Squillaci-Ignasi-Gibbs
Diaby-Wilshere
Bendtner-Nasri-Rosicky
Chamakh

Subs: Chesney, Sagna, Clichy, Djourou, Arshavin, someone from the reserves to make up the numbers

The squad seems to be good enough to put a couple past Orient and get the job done. If we can manage a bloody goal fest nothing would cheer me up more. Well news that Ferguson was caught with his pants down with Rooney at the end of his dick along with the news that John Terry's wife was caught in bed with Cashley Cole would make my day, but that's not gonna be reported anytime soon, so bollocks to that, the goal fest wins.

Mind you this is an important game, as important as it can get. Cos a victory today would re-iterate the belief in the mentality of the squad that Wenger keeps talking about and there's no bigger test than the game after a cup final. A defeat tonight might as well signal the fucking collapse of yet another season, but I'm one of those glass half full kind of people so I wont tread down that path.

Well then, that about it for me today. Here's to a victory at the Wengerdome tonight and progress to the next round to meet Ferguson and Co.

Sign of things to come ? I think not

*We lost to Birmingham City in the cup finals* - woken up from my sleep around 2 a.m. No we didn't you moron, it was a bad dream.
*We lost to Birmingham City in the cup finals* - woken up again around 4 a.m. No you stupid fuck, we didn't, it was a bad dream.
*We lost to Birmingham City in the cup finals* - wide awake at 6.30 a.m. Yes indeed we lost to them !!

Didn't know what hurt more, my head which after 5 bottles of the finest lager or my heart after witnessing the 89th minute calamity at Wembley. Still trying to figure the answer to that one out.

I don't even know where to begin on Sundays match. Once again we saw an Arsenal side that had more possession of the ball and yet ended up on the losing side. 12 shots on goal and we still cant get more than one in. How do you manage it Arsenal ? How ? I don't even have it in me to go through the game and give an analysis of the 90 minutes. Why you ask ? Because i never wish to see the replay of that match. NEVER ! I don't have the heart to watch the crest fallen faces of our squad when the whistle blew for full  time, i don't have it in me to watch the image of Jack being consoled by Pat Rice when the Brums were picking up their medals, i don't have it in me to imagine the consequences that last night might have on the squad.

The boys clearly  knew they blew a glorious chance at lifting a piece of silverware and by far the easiest of the 4 that were on offer. B'gham may be a good side but didn't we thrash their arse in their own backyard scoring 3 !! I don't want to hear arguments like Fab wasn't in the squad, fair play he was missed but there was enough quality on that pitch to beat B'gham all year long. Sadly, yesterday wasn't that day.

No point going into that now i guess, we just have to move the Fuck on. Chamakh has been speaking to Arsenal tv  and says this of what the squad thinks of the famous duo that cost us the goal

“We are all responsible for the defeat. That’s football. You have highs and lows”

"The way we conceded the second goal doesn’t matter. If we had conceded a top-class goal the result would have been the same, we would still have lost. We lost a Final and it’s hard to take.

"We have a feeling of frustration and disappointment because we feel that we could have won the game. To be honest, I was expecting it to go into extra time and maybe to penalties but not to lose in that way.”

Fair play to Chamakh and I must say i agree with him on the blame game. There's no point blaming kos and Chesney, is it ? Cos if the fans are going to blame them, i suggest we also blame Nasri, Shava and Rosicky for missing loads of chances. We don't do that do we ? So give it a rest then. Am sure they've beaten themselves up over the past two days and in all probability wouldn't have even had a good nights sleep since Sunday. I guess the only way the two of them can exorcise their demons of the fuck up is to work their asses off when we arrive at the Nou Camp and play the game of their lives. Cos for me, if we can pull off a victory at the Nou Camp that win would mean much more than a Carling Cup. So i guess chin up and move on.

A lot  of people have been saying that this loss will have a domino effect on the mentality of this squad. I beg to differ !! Why you ask me ? Cos we were in a fucking cup final, one in which we outplayed the pants off the Brums and lost to a stupid goal. We didn't lose it because we failed to show up did we ? Did we lose because the squad turned out to played Huddersfield or Orient ? No we did not. We played a good game, one which would have us victorious all year long with a 3-0 scoreline. Had the answers to all of the above been negative we should've had a reason to piss our pants.

The only reason i do see a dip in our performances will be down to the fact that our 3 most influential players will be out for the next 2 weeks and that will have the doomsday conspiracy set upon us once again. I urge you to keep the faith in this squad, it is important that we show belief in them, cos let's accept it, we all fuck up at some point in our lives don't we ? Give it a rest.

In other news Jack Wilshere has come out against the stupid excuse for a human being who goes by the name Barry Ferguson for slapping Kos in the head. He tweeted

'Well done to the BCFC player who slapped Koscielny on the head when they scored, very big of you!'

There's not much that I'd like to comment about the episode except for the fact that Birmingham City is a club managed by a filthy whore who cant get his mouth off Alex FergusonsYeung and Alex McLeish to be ass fucked by each and every one of their players and then have then repeat it in the reverse. Cunts !!

Now that I've finally got that painful job of writing about the cup final out of the way lets all hope that the Russians do us a favour tonight at the Bridge and give us a reason to cheer. Am going to be up for it tonight, not because i love watching either of them play, but for the simple reason that i want to be happy after a game of football when the result goes our way !! Don't you dare fuck it up for me tonight God, I'm warning you (Loads Gun)

And that's about it from me today. Back tomorrow with a preview to the game against Orient and hopefully some good news to report back from the game featuring the Russians against Howard Webb Utd

Judgement Day

Good Afternoon Gooners.

So our day of reckoning is here and the day which each and every one of us Gooners  has so painstakingly awaited for over half a decade.

I told you yesterday that i wont be able to do a meaningful blog today cos i wont be able to over ride the emotions that i am experiencing and probably all of you are. So am just going to wish our team all the very best for the evening and hope that for the 90 minutes that when we take to the pitch at Wembley, we play like its the last game of our lives.

Lets do this for the Club, the players and the fans the world over. Come on you Reds !!

I'd like to leave you with a nice compilation on our journey in the Carling Cup this season.

Have a good day wherever you are.

The Small matter of a Cup Final

Good afternoon Gooners.

So here we are, SIX fucking years since we last saw our team in a cup finals, six years is a long time. Six years have seen governments change, Lindsay Lohan get sent to rehab, the sub prime crisis, the US presidential elections, Lindsay Lohan get sent to rehab, Brazil and Spain winning world cups, Chelsea sacking their manager, Lindsay lohan get sent to rehab, Chelsea sacking their manager, The Arabs taking over Russians as footballs sugar daddies, Grays and Keys getting sacked off Sky Sports, Chelsea sacking another manager and Lindsay Lohan being sent to JAIL !!

You could imagine what its like then to spend six years without winning a trophy and having to read your daily paper dishing out all of the above in not exactly the same order but with alarming regularity. Its one day away from putting that ghost back in the closet alongwith Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears and hoping that the two of them will spook the shit out of him. Its one day away from when people can stop ridiculing us and quit asking us questions like "If they dont win why is it that you still cheer for them" ? "Why, when you live in fucking India that you wake up at 1.30 a.m at night, even though you have a big presentation/exam the next morning and watch them play"? "Why do you feel for a team that plays in bloody England" ? "Why would you rather risk the wrath of your parents/girlfriend/wife for choosing to watch a game of football being played by a team which has won nothing over the years"? "Why don't you choose to support Utd or Chelsea, they seem to be winning a lot amongst themselves"?? Blah

We've all answered the questions above at some point in our lives and over the past few seasons especially when every pundit, footballer and even media person wrote our team off as the one who will drop out of the "Big 4". Yet we've pushed ourselves as a team, fought against all odds, built a world class stadium, have a youth academy everyone in the UK is envious about and reached our first cup finals. We all know when we've been asked by the scumbag supporters of Utd or Chavs what have Arsenal done over the past 6 years we have our usual repertoire of answers like the new stadium, youth set up, brilliant football, etc, etc, whereas what we would really like to have said to them would be motherfucking trophies. Don't get me wrong folks, i do appreciate everything that has gone on at this club over the past 6 years and if i had a chance to go back the 14 years when i first made my choice on the football club i support I'll pick the Red and Whites every day of the year.

But the bittersweet truth in life is that we are all measured by our successes and no one remembers that you nearly did it, or you played brilliant football or that you built a world class stadium. No one remembers who came in at # 2. Its the top prize that matters. And tomorrow folks we have the chance to put that record straight and hopefully march onto something really special at this football club. Cos' it would be a real shame if a team that consisted of special talents like our first 11 were to look back at their time at Arsenal and have no medals to show.

Nice to get that out of my system, phew !! Moving on to some news before the game tomorrow, the media is all out against Wenger again digging out their archives to point out that Wenger said that the Carling Cup isn't very significant in the scheme of things at Arsenal. They've already started chiding him and am sure that the "Oh you haven't won a trophy for six years will be replaced by You've only won a Carling Cup". Wish i could throw each and everyone of these biased, cunt faced, arsenal hating media persons into the cabinet along with the ghost, Lindsay and Britney. Wouldn't have much to say about then, would you !! RETARDS

Early team news suggests that we have Diaby back in the squad for tomorrow and i expect the line up to be:

Chesney
Sagna Djourou Kos Clichy
Song-Wilshere
Bendtner/Diaby-Nasri-Arshavin
RVP

Subs: Almunia, Eboue, Squillaci, Rosicky, Denilson, Chamakh

If Diaby makes his way into the team i expect Nasri to move to the flanks and Diaby playing in the center. I do feel that he would get the nod ahead of Bendtner since we will have to outmuscle them in midfield throughout the game. I predict a 3-1 scoreline en route to lifting the CUP !!

And that's all from me for today. Don't think I'll have the mental stability that's required to do a blog tomorrow, so a really short one maybe.
For all those Gooners from Mumbai i will be at the screening at Big Daddy in Bandra where i expect to see an entire contingent in Red and White which would be over a 100 mad ass Gooners. See you folk there tomorrow.

Follow me on twitter @Indigooner rambling arsenal or on Facebook by clicking on the image on the top right hand corner of your screen.

I would just like to end with a little line for tomorrow:

We long for it, our team longs for it, they crave it, it is the stimulus they need to go on and achieve greatness and it all starts tomorrow.

Here's a bit of nostalgia back when we picked up our last piece of silverware

Have a good day wherever you are.

Injury Gods Strike Again

Good afternoon Gooners.

Not much good news in the Arseverse this Friday morning. So we already knew that Walcott has twisted his ankle and will definitely miss the CC final. The blow comes with the news that Cesc will, in all likelihood miss out as well. As you would have read on the blog yesterday the skipper seemed distraught at the eventuality of missing out on a day he has dreamt about his entire Arsenal career. The only bright side to this is that we will have our skipper back for the CL clash against those Spanish cunts raring to go having tasted and felt a real cup (i say real cos we lift the Emirates cup every year). Thank you dear Injury gods, we missed you over the past few months.

If there was a bright side to this and believe me its quite tough to find a bright side to this non sense, its the sight of watching our very own Mr Arsenal, Robin Van Persie walk the team out of the tunnel. If there is any one more befitting to lead this side out, and in my opinion he edges Cesc out on the loyalty bit, only one name comes to mind and that is RVP. I know a lot of you will say that he has hardly ever been fit and he has not  been the striker we have wished for over the years, but if there's one thing about Robin that cannot be denied its his love and loyalty towards the Red and White and his dream of winning, lifting and driving this team towards the logical conclusion - SILVERWARE. In his interview on the official magazine, Robin says

" I don’t have the inclination to go anywhere,This is the best team for me to be in. The bottom line is that I want to win trophies with Arsenal, not with anybody else. I know you can win trophies in many countries and in many ways, but I want to do that in our way and in an Arsenal shirt.

I’m sure I could win things at another team in another country, but would it feel like our trophy, my trophy? I’m not sure it would. Anything we win here will come from the heart and that’s what I want. It’s my dream and I see no point in speaking about other teams when I have these dreams. I think other people know that about me; I’m just hungry to win with Arsenal and that’s it "

Brilliant don't you think ? And from a player of his stature. BRILLIANT !!

In other news we have Sandro Rossell moaning and whining about the morality of Arsenal during the capture of Toral. "morality" - Mr Rosell, you and your bunch of cunts at the Nou Camp are talking about morality ???? There's more morality in a whore talking about the virtues of virginity than you lot !! Doesn't the youth academy there have more non EU players in their Cadete A and B teams than EU players. You lot go around the world picking up south American and African players at a young age from academies for a pittance and talk of moral issues at Arsenal signing a 16 year old whose contract had expired. And we went about our job of signing him discreetly and through the right channels. Not by having our youth team players giving interviews in the press talking about Toral's English DNA and then pulling a fucking Arsenal shirt over his head !! Give me a break. Blah...

Last night the UEFA cup resulted in Mancini having his job at least until they are ousted out of the competition with a victory at the Eastlands. Liverpool and Rangers were the other two notable teams that made it to the final 16. In my opinion, this competition seems to be the only realistic chance that City have at lifting silverware and i wouldn't be surprised if Mancini now cooled off on his intent of winning the title and focused only on retaining their # 3 spot. Expect a big rest to key players before the cup matches for City.

And that 's about that for today. More tomorrow with a full game preview and predictions for Sunday.

Stroke it up

Evening Gooners.

It has been a long hiatus from the world of blogging on my beloved AFC due to personal shit that hit the roof. With most of it sorted out i now look forward to getting back to daily blogging with a vengeance, much like Arsenal in last nights game against the Thugs from Stoke Rugby Association.

The game was one which would not stand out in terms of the beautiful football that we are known to play. Instead we were witness to a game which was won because our team spent 95 minutes of their lives grinding out a result which all of them should be proud of. Stand out performances from yesterday came from our very own Jack Wilshere who was absolutely brilliant in the center of the pitch. It amazes me how a boy so young has the kind of ability to read the game, control and dictate terms. Had it not been for the average height of 9 feet that the thugs have in their side, we would've seen some exceptional long balls played by Jack being met by the attack. A tip of the hat to Arshavin as well, the little Russian showed us that he is definitely on the way up when it comes to form. Brilliant play between him and Nasri in stoppage time to keep posession of the ball and had he expected a cross from Nasri we should've sealed the game around the 93rd minute. Our defense yesterday was superb and with each passing game Johan Djourou's stature as a solid CB keeps growing. Who would've expected a bloke who was out of the first for all of last season to come back into the squad and have such an impact. I cant wait for Wenger to finally have a selection headache when it comes to defense once TV5 returns. Imagine having to choose between TV, JD and LK as your first choice defensive pairing. Surely a headache most managers would cut their arms off for !!

Another player who did a lot in the background was our very own Wojecsjddjfdkll Sczeajdhdky (or whatever it is that his name is, i prefer the alias Chesney as made famous by our very own Ladyarse). He, for me is one in the Wilshere mould and made a hell of a difference when it came to defensive organisation in front of the goal. He was loud, shouting out instructions and moving his team mates as would like them placed before Delap plonked one into the box from one corner of the ground into our penalty area. I cant remember the last time my nuts were in the sack where they belong, instead of rolling out on the floor when we played Stoke. I credit this to the brilliant season our keepers Fabianski and Chesney have had and i can truly say our back 4 and the keeper is a department that we need not worry about too much for now.

Wenger speaking at his post match conference gave credit to the team saying

"We did the job in a very professional way. We faced a Stoke team that defended very well, very compact, but we were intelligent, calm, patient and overall I believe that we were resilient as well when Stoke had their strong moments because we didn't give in when they did what they do very well.Tonight was a night when nobody else played [well] and if you can take three points and glide closer to the top, that means that your team is really hungry for success. The number of games we play, not to make a mistake at any stage... we were less sharp creatively but you could feel the team did not want to make a mistake and that's a very positive sign."

So a 1-0 victory over the thugs has now put us a point behind Utd and 7 ahead of Shitty which gives us a good breathing space between us and them, while it piles pressure on Utd to get a result in their next. Considering the nature of fixtures that they have in their next 3 i would bet my mortgage that Utd are bound to drop some points and thats where we need to ensure that we collect all 3 points from now, going on until the time overtake Utd for the pole position. Lets hope our friends the Russians (Chavs) and The Americans (Liverpool) do us a massive favour and turn this title race on its head. We've done you favours in the past havent we, time you paid us back, methinks.

Awful news on the injury front with Walcott having being ruled out for the cup final and fab due for a scan later today. It would be a shame for them as players and for us as well if these two werent part of the team that beats the Brums on Sunday. Massive miss for the team. The injury for Cesc seemed to have him disappointed and distraught when he asked to be taken off. Wenger had to say

" He was very upset, I am as well, but it is not his fault and it is not my fault, it is part of sport. It's strange that it happened early in the game but we have to face it. Theo is disappointed of course."

While El Capitan was busy on twitter speaking like the man who has simply spent too much time dreaming of the day and feels cheated that an injury could keep him away from leading his team to glory in a cup final on Sunday. He said "I dont know if ill make sunday or no, but all i know is that from this moment to sunday 16.30 i wont sleep if its necessary. Ive waited too long to captain a final for arsenal and i wont give up till the last second "

What more can one say about his commitment to the Red and White and to our cause. Folks these are words from a man who lives and breathes Arsenal and see's the injury set back as one which could ruin his dream of lifting our first piece of silverware for Six years and break into the virginity of the Trophy cabinet at the Grove.

Lets hope we have good news coming out of our Colney Medical center and hope that RVP's placenta doctor is no where near El Capitan promising him a miracle recovery.

Thats all from me for today. Promise i'll be updating this often than i should.

Road to Wembley - Via Ipswich Town

Greetings of the day Gooners

Isnt it wonderful to spend the weekend after a 3p.m kickoff during which your team displays attacking prowess of a lioness out to make a kill to feed her cubs. What we witnessed on Saturday was for me our game of the season a second one in which we displayed as much hunger and desire to win the game as much as we did when we played Chelsea. At the half time interval i was scratching my head wondering how the fuck is that score line not embarrassing enough for Wigan to not walk out of that tunnel for the second half. I also felt that soon after half time Wigan would score a goal from absolutely nothing and we would end the game 1-1 after having 7922 attempts on goal. Ok not 7922 but you get a wind of the point I'm trying to make here.

Lucky for us The Arsenal of the first half took to the pitch and were absolutely relentless in their pursuit of the second goal which came from a peach of an assist from Fabregas. Is it me or have any of you observed how well this partnership of our two stalwarts clicks. The second goal reminded me of the goal that RVP scored from a Fabregas assist against Fulham last season. Inch perfect pass and meticulous finishing from RVP. The fact that he didn't score 5 goals against Wigan is not too much to dwell about, but how i would've loved to see the King in the 'i scored 5 goals in a game' club which otherwise boasts of some utter and despicable cunts like Defoe and Berbatov.
The King has returned hasn't he folks.

What was even more brilliant about our win was the fact that, Shitty with their £ 400 million line-up and £ 800 million bench lost to Aston "stop laughing cos we paid £ 24 million for Darren Bent" Villa and Tottenham grabbed a late late equaliser against the Magpies, thus dropping points. So the weekend meant that we scored three goals, won three points, had our 4th consecutive clean sheet (the last time we had one of those was when Terry first shagged one of his team mates wives and that was in 07-08) and now sit second in the league 2 points behind ManU who play their game in hand against Blackpool at Bloomfield road this week. I'll have a shag on Ian Holloway if he gets his team to beat ManU. Mind you i don't dedicate my shags just like that.

So now the weekend is behind us, we now stare at our most important game of the season tomorrow at the Grove, where we welcome Ipswich in the second round of the semi's. I call this game our most important game cos i firmly believe that winning the Carling Cup will be the thrust this side need to move towards the silverware we've all being thirsting and longing for. I wont get into the mindset issue for tomorrow cos the team got one up their arses at Portman Road and will know that Ipswich will play the match of their lives when they take to the pitch tomorrow. They will definitely be up for it and know that tomorrow they need to bring their A game back to the pitch and finish Ipswich off by half time. Mind you Ipswich will defend absolutely everything and play all 11 in goal for most of the match and look to score a goal only if we offer it to them on a plate. I say that there is a chance of letting one in cos the only goals we've conceded in our last 7 have been one each against Ipswich and Leeds. So the defense needs to be up for it as well. Should they score a goal first then we need to find a way to hit 3 past them with their entire team in goal. I hope we don't face a situation like that, but if we do I'm sure this team will find a way to put a few past them nevertheless.

On the squad front too i don't expect too many changes for this one from the team that played at the weekend cos Wenger can safely rest most of the squad for the game against Huddersfield on Sunday. I strongly feel that the line up for the game tomorrow will just be with one or two changes, not more.

Chesney
Sagna Djourou Kos Gibbs
Song Wilshere
Walcott Fabregas Nasri
Chamakh

Subs: Shea, Fabregas, Denislson, RVP, Bendtner, Rosicky, Clichy

In transfer gossip/news Southampton sensation Alex Oxlade - Chamberlain has decided to join us, to which the  manger reacted saying

"I think, if that is right, that is a very good decision. We will try now."We need an agreement with Southampton, we need an agreement with the player, and we are not the only ones on the case. But we try as hard as we can as I like him as a player."

It seems that the deal involves £5 million upfront payment and another £5 million in performance based payouts. It's also reported that the he may be loaned back to Southampton for the remainder of the season. What this tells us is the fact that Wenger is the only one to go out and buy an attacker when there is an evident need at the club for a defender. But i guess, Wenger knows best. This would ensure that the Arsenal talent factory will have the likes of AOChamberlain, Miyachi and Wellington coming thru in the years to come. Build for the future eh Arsene ?

In other news Richard Keys and Andy Gray, yes the two cunts from Sky, yes the two cunts who think they know everything about football, yes the two cunts who are pre historic in their analysis of the game, yes the two CUNTS who believe that breaking a leg through a tackle is what  makes English football different from the rest of Continental Europe. No thanks you Cunts, I'd rather have my legs. Anyways, these two were caught on the microphone mouthing off about the female ref at the Liverpool game and managed to score an own goal due to this. The cunts though they were off air and shot their mouths off on how a 'woman cannot understand the offside rule' to later realise that what they said was picked up by their microphones. Have always known the two of them to be Cunts but with these comments I'm sure the word 'cunt' itself would hate being used in the same breath as these two _______, you guessed it right CUNTS.

And that's about it from me today. Here's to a brilliant performance from the lads at the Grove tomorrow evening which will allow us Gooners to finally start dreaming about the final at Wembley.

Has the real Arsenal finally stood up

Greetings of the new day Gooners.

The victory at Elland Road has not quite sunk in yet and we are already staring at the game at Wigan tomorrow. This marks the beginning of our four consecutive matches at home against Wigan, Ipswich, Huddersfield and Everton. If you look at the list, the fixtures definitely look winnable and considering they are at home, anything other than a win will be inexcusable.

On the subject of winning it does seem like the team has finally managed to check the box in their heads which requires them to give their all for the 90 minutes that they take the pitch for. This is evident in the body language of the players and what better demonstration for the cause than by our very own Nasri who we saw sprint back 60 yards to cover defensively. If this Arsenal consistently turns up on the day of the games with this attitude and with a mission to close teams down without giving a rats arse about the reputation they have, you can be rest assured that by the time we face Barcelona we would be as mentally strong as one can be. Lets just hope that we get a string of wins, not draws, WINS under our belt and i bet you my pension that the title is ours for the taking. I still believe that Manu have been really lucky when it's come to their position in the league and this is down to that fact that the teams around them have been inconsistent and loosing games. If you notice Manu has played with nearly the same back five for the better half of the season and somethings gotta give. You just know it !!

The news in the world of Arsenal is as non existent as the conscience of our politicians who seem to be hell bent on trying new ways to plunder this already bankrupt nation. Wenger informed the media that TV5 had an operation on some tendon near his Achilles and it has now been completely removed. He goes on to say that some people do not even have this tendon and this was the reason for the friction with TV5's Achilles. He was operated by a team of specialists in Sweeden and not the placenta inserter who worked on keeping RVP out for 6 months. Though all of this is all hunky dory and i cant wait for TV5 to be back in the red and white, the question i ask our medical team is "Why in God's name does it take you 5 months to figure out the reason for a problem" I do feel that we are at times overly cautious in operating on the player and hence waste time in trying to heal the damn problem through physiotherapy and what not, to finally realize that operating upon the player is the only fucking solution. BLAH ! Damn you medics.

The only silver lining in this saga is that TV5 should be back in 6 weeks pulling on the shirt and ready to battle. That brings me to the issue of our CB. While Djouscienly  have been brilliant at the back for us we are a Lee Bowyer away from seriously loosing one of them to an injury. If one of the thugs in the league do not manage to take them away, I'm sure the injury gods have something in store for us. Admit it, it has been a while since they've fucked up our season and I'm sure they must be itching to cast a spell of doom over us. There is also the risk of overplaying the two of them and having them fatigued. We've already played 4 games in 11 days with another 5 games to go in the next 12. Surely the two of them cannot cope with the fixture list that we have and Wenger is surely risking a lot if he doesn't buy a decent CB before the end of the window. Notice the word 'decent CB', that was written knowing that there is no way in hell that Wenger will splash the cash on a world class CB so atleast we should hope for a decent one. But again, given Wenger's previous signings like Sylvestre, i would look decent in the CB position even after I've downed a bottle of the finest rum.

The youth team crashed out of the FA youth cup last night in front of a strong crowd at the Bridge. Stoppage time winner scored by a chap who goes by the name Lalkovic, who incidentally also scored the equalizer. With not much to do  from now until the end of the season, could we see Wenger and Bould take the decision to ship some of these lads out on loan to League 1 and League 2 sides.

In some transfer news its reported that Wheater has finally completed his move from Miidlesborough to Bolton in a deal worth 2.3 million quid. Does this signing signal the end of Cahill to Arsenal. I would love to think so, but me thinks Cahill might be lured to the greener pastures at the Bridge alongside John 'I love boinking your wife' Terry.

The legend that is Thierry Henry says in an interview "Winning the league at White Hart Lane was better than winning the Champions League" - LEGEND.
See the difference you Sp*rs retards, while we talk about winning cups you will spend your lives talking about winning a game and qualifying for the CL. JOKE

And on that note I'm out of here. Back tomorrow with a brief preview of the Wigan game and my usual incorrect predictions on the scoreline ;)

Can Arsenal Leed the way into the next round

Good Evening Gooners.

So the last time i blogged it was before the West Ham game and boy oh boy did we dish it out at Upton Park. Good to get all 3 points from there on a weekend where Utd and Sp*rs both dropped points. It was absolutely necessary that we got the right result because we knew that, no matter which way the result between the two went we would be benefited and benefit we did. We're now 2 points off Utd albeit they have a game in hand but something tells me that Blackpool (their opponents for the game in hand) will do us a huge favour during the replay. Fingers crossed.

Anyways moving onto tonight's match the boss has been speaking about the need for squad rotation - YIKES !! Not Eboue, Denilson and Bendtner all the same time again please Mr Wenger, Pretty please. The manager had to say

"We could certainly do without this extra game at Leeds and we will have to rotate our squad. Our success depends on how well the entire squad can focus on all the different competitions.I will prepare for the game at Leeds to win it and believe we have the quality to go through no matter who I select."

Seriously though today will be the make or break point in the season for the afore-mentioned trio, though i feel Sagna will come straight back into the squad after his 3 match suspension. But for Denilson and Bendtner i do feel they need to step up tonight and deliver and and put to bed a lot of criticism that seems to be headed their way. Also, Ignasi might just make his professional debut tonight alongside Kos, as i don't see the manager going out and risking Djourou tonight. The team for tonight should look like this

Chesney
Sagna Kos Ignasi Gibbs
Denilson WIlshere
Arshavin Fabregas Bendtner
Chamakh

Subs: Shea, Rosicky, Nasri, Walcott, Djourou, RVP, Eboue

Denilson meanwhile got himself into a soup over his comments on an interview that he did with the Brazilian Tv on how he thought that we lacked leadership and that Cesc isn't the person who provides it. Really stupid thing to say i thought to myself  and that too by someone who doesn't even hold onto a regular spot on the team. Luckily for me and millions of other gooners worldwide Denilson clarified what he actually meant.

"Fabregas is a great friend. When I said the team has no leadership I was pointing out that the Arsenal squad is made up of a very young group of players who sometimes need a more experienced person, like Gilberto Silva was for many years.
I’m a shy guy, I don’t like controversy and problems. I was misquoted. I spoke to [Cesc] Fabregas and everything is resolved. We are fighting for the English title and this will not damage our focus."

Good thing for him to clarify himself else he would've had to deal with a lot of hate that would have made its way to him. Though i do think that there is a bone to pick on the leadership at Arsenal, maybe I'll pick on that at a later date.

In other news John Cross from the Mirror has reported that we are after Samba from Blackburn. Now i have tremendous respect for Mr John Cross who is a very vocal Arsenal supporter and at the same time a fine journalist but to link us with Samba ? Really Mr Cross, are you taking the piss out of  me. You might as well link Arsenal to the missus who will do a better job than that brainless twat. And the Daily Mail has us interested in Richard "see how i score an own goal" Dunne. I'd  really love to take a walk into the offices of these news paper establishments and meet the creative directors who print these insanely zany football transfer rumors. I agree that Wenger is tight with the cash, but that does not mean he'll always go for shit when it comes to defenders. And by always i was referring to the silly fat bald retard we signed from Utd called  Sylvestre !!!

Moving back to the game tonight  i do feel that the boys will be up for it and we've seen time and again this season that when we've put our heads to wanting it badly we've always managed a result in our favour.Since this is the replay the match will go to penalties should the scores remain level after 120 Min's, but I expect  this one to be done and dusted by the half time whistle with the final score being 4-1 to the Arsenal.

And that's all from me today. The match is being broad casted on Sony Pix @ 1.30 IST.

In Wenger we trust.

Can the Hammers be Hammered

Good Evening Gooners

Ok tonites gonna be a quickie cos I'm neck deep in work with the sister's wedding and seeing me writing this blog, i can already see my mom have the look that could make most of our reserve team piss their pants.
Moving on to tonight's game, there's the team news that most of you already know of, Eboue replacing Sagna who is serving the  last of his three match ban, Fabianski being ruled out with injury and Chesney manning the posts. I expect the team to line up as below

Chesney
Eboue-Djourou-Kos-Clichy
Song-Wilshere
Walcott-Fabregas-Nasri
RVP

Subs: O'Shea, Gibbs, Miquel, Denilson. Arshavin, Chamakh, Bendtner

So the line-up is as good a team  that we can put out against any opposition, barring Eboue, but I'll reserve my thoughts on his recent downward spiral in form for another day. I do feel that the team seem to reserve the best for the PL while taking the cup games a bit more lightly and that is purely due to the fact that they know they have an escape route by playing a second leg and i am more than confident that Ipswich and Leeds would get an ass whooping that would make them fear being promoted or at least playing Arsenal, EVER !

The team should be able to take  all 3 points from Upton Park tonight and their cause will be greatly aided by fact that Scott Parker is missing in action tonight. One only needs to see the half season review of the Hammers to know how greatly influential he his and why they aren't already relegated. I expect the game to finish 2-0 which, considering the fact that we  haven't scored in 300 mins from open play is actually a long shot.

Some interesting news that is just doing  the rounds is that about the ankle of our superstar of the season, Samir Nasri. Its rumoured that he has been facing some issues with his ankle for awhile now and needs pain killers to see him though the 90 minutes. Lets hope the injury Gods don't piss on our luck with Sami and i promise i wont have sex for 2 weeks, no 10 days, no a week, ok 4 days, fine this weekend...Deal ?

I'll leave the rest of some transfer news that seems to be emerging from the Grove for tomorrow. Here's to a superlative performance from the lads and one that will make us put to bed the disappointments of Leeds and Ipswich. And for Chamakh to come off the bench and score a brace, here's a little song for him

'He's not White,He's Not Black-He comes from a place not far from Iraq,He plays upfront and he plays in attack-He's our mate Marouane Chamakh'

Crash and Burn - Will we ever learn ??

Evening Gooners.

You must've noticed how I've taken the good away from the evening cos there's not much good in the world when the team you so dearly love manage to fuck up against a side that has been beaten to pulp by a team that was beaten by us. I cant even get my head around to the fact that for 79% of the possession all we had to show was 'FUCKALL' !! The manager made a couple of changes to the team that played Leeds at the weekend and you imagine that a team which starts with Fabregas, Djourou, Walcott and Wilshere should be good enough for a team that is currently languishing in the 19th spot in the Championship. But then again, who am i to dare to believe in this Arsenal team.
This team seriously pushes me to the edge of my patience and belief in them and last night was another one of those days where i would rather have experienced the pain of PMS than watch this lot play. I don't want to get into how we played during the match cos there's not one encouraging line that i could write about the display. For me the only person who cared during the 90 minutes to play and give a damn about the game was Djourou. The rest of the squad expected that they would just how up as always and expect Ipswich to roll over.
I have a few questions i need answers to, though :

Where is the Arsenal  team that played Chelsea 15 days ago ?
Who was that impersonator playing in the #4 jersey and what has he done to Cesc ?
What  the fuck is Eboue doing playing for Arsenal ?
Why wasnt Denilson denied a work permit when he first signed for Arsenal ?
Why dont we put Arshavin on a pay as you play contract and stipulate that he must cover atleast 10 kms every game ?
Which are the 10 clubs queued up to sign Carlos Vela ? If you really do exist can you take him away now ?
What does Bendtner know about playing football and where is the talent he so often talks about ?
When will Wenger stop making excuses for the team and start laying into the team like a madman ?
What the fuck will happen to our season if something happens to Djourou ?
Why cant Rosicky get two games in a row, when Denilson can manage two, and that too without a hint of creativity ?
When can we start scoring goals for fun once again ?

I am at my wits end with this lot and i know that this anger will be forgotten once we get a positive result against West Ham. That i guess is the peril of being a fan of such a mad football club.

I don't want to get into the whole 'i hope they take this game as a lesson and ensure they don't repeat a performance like this' shit because it wont happen. The sooner we accept the fact that this team will keep dishing out performances like this, the better it is for our mental and physical well being.

And with that i will sign off for today. My apologies if this blog today appears more like a rant than constructive criticism.

Here's to a win against West Ham this weekend and for all of us to fall in love with them all over again.

Have a good evening wherever you are.

Can Arsenal Do a Chelsea at Portman Road

Good Evening Gooners.

The last time i blogged we were welcoming Shitty to the Emirates and it turned out to be a shitty match indeed. Cant blame the boys for not trying last Wednesday evening but i must say that we cant blame luck for not scoring a goal. And that's where i see this team lacking in sheer comparison to Barcelona. We can match them eye for eye on every front except finding the back of the net to chances ratio. Believe me if we could find our shooting boots for every chance we created we could well be on our way to be the first team in the PL to score 100 goals in a season. Anyways the match clearly showed the gulf between Shitty and us in terms of desire to win a game by playing football !!

The match against Leeds too was disappointing because we created next to Fuck all for the best part of an hour, barring the Arshavin chance and as always found ourselves a goal down. People will ramble on saying that this was a team which had 9 changes from the team that played Shitty. But isn't this the same lot that praises Wenger for builiding such a formidable bench. Another point to note is the fact that the team that set out against Leeds included 10 internationals !! The fact is that we, in spite of being bitten on our arse's too often expected Leeds to roll over and allow us to stroll home to a victory. If not for the last minute stupidity of Leeds we would've had to endure the kind of abuse from the Leeds fans that would, rather make me want to lie down in my own puke !! And we did have chances to actually go on and win it but Bendtner and Theo wanted to to go see how the pitch at Elland Road looks and we have the replay against them which has now been confirmed as the 19th of January

Moving on to the match tomorrow night at Portman Road expect Arsene to ring in a few changes from the team that played against Leeds on Saturday for an opposition that was beaten to pulp by a Chelsea team that was in a slump worse than me, after having a bottle of the darkest rum known to man.
I expect Djourou to be given the day off tomorrow to protect his knee and for Ignasi Miquel to take his place. I make this assumption on the fact that the reserve team captain did not play (lucky) for our reserves in the 10-1 thrashing dished out by Aston Villa reserves. I expect Wilshere to start the game in place of Song who will be given the day off to preserve him for West Ham. My team line up for tomorrow is

Chesney
Eboue Miquel Kos Gibbs
Denislson Wilshere Rosicky
Arshavin Chamakh Bendtner

Subs: Fabianski, Fabregas, Nasri, Walcott, Eastmond, Djourou, Vela

There is no better time to visit a team than when they have just been beaten 7-0 by a PL opposition and that will be at the back of their minds. This will play a big part tomorrow night and expect to see another game where the opposition will just park 10 men in defense. What would do us good is that fact that we will have to take the chances that we create and once we have an advantage of a couple of goals then let the good time roll. My prediction for the match is a 5-1 thrashing of Ipswich and i do hope the humble pie is not headed for my mouth tomorrow evening.

In other news we are reportedly in the market for a defender in the transfer window and i shall not waste your time and mine in speculating who will come in and who wont. If there's one thing I've learnt in all these years being a Gooner during the Wenger era is the fact that the man pulls out more surprises than David Blaine himself and it would be paramount idiocracy to believe that anyone in the blogspehere has an iota of an idea on whats going on in his mind. Its always good to speculate and hope but hey I'm not writing to sell ads or get more hits on my blog to be counted as famous am I :))

In other news the Legend i.e Thierry Henry is at our Colney training base for 10 days and will be helping out the strikers with their shooting. Its cant get better, can it ? Bendtner has been doing what he does best and you've guessed right its not scoring goals but talking his mouth off that I'm talking about. He's been talking about the importance of winning the Craling Cup and how it will be fantastic to show a trophy for all the hard work. Thanks for the good words Nik, but I'd rather you score 30 goals a season than give me information that i have no use for !

There's also the news that Galatasaray has made an offer for our Spanish waiter, Almunia and want to take him to Turkey. Haven't they seen him play ?? Does TV not exist in Turkey ?? "God bless these souls for they know not what they do" - Sound familiar ;)  Hey but why should i complain, he's one bloke who I'd love to see out of this club.

Anyways I'm out of here and would like everyone reading this to wish the love of my life, my sister Samantha all the best for her marriage this Sunday.

That should keep me busy for the rest of the week but I'll try to do something of a post match review on Ipswich as well as a preview to the game against the Hammers on Saturday.

Have a good evening wherever you are.

Cash v/s Class

Good evening Gooners. So we finally arrive to the day of the big game at the Emirates. This really is a game with which we could signal our intent to win the League. It has been awfully quiet around these parts with the only noise that seems to be emanating from Arsenal Football Club is that of the need for a new defender if TV5 does not make it in time, Vela moving on loan to Bolton and Ramsey's return to the club.

Today for me will be a true test of the maturity that Wenger keeps talking about that our side has acquired. It was great that we managed a big win against Chelsea but do we have it in us to put up a virtuoso display like that tonight. Mind you for all the millions that City have spent they are actually turning out to be a good team and their position in the league is all on their own accord. Kudos to Mancini for getting this lot of players together and playing for the common cause of winning some kind of silverware and/or Champions League status. Training ground bust ups aside i am sure that it will not be in the minds of the City players when they take to the pitch tonight because only one of the two (read Toure) involved in the bust up will actually be involved in our match as well. So sulkycuntycunt Adebayor may well be given some time to pack his bags for another club back home in the eastlands.

Tonight's game, i assure you will be a much more physical battle than the one we've endured against the likes of Brum and Stoke cos these monsters from City actually have some footballing class to them. To add, the last time we played them, they put on a fight right until the very end in spite of being a man down for most of the match. If we do not have a work rate like the one we had against Chelsea i can assure you that we might as well not bother taking to the pitch tonight cos City will make us pay.

They will be further buoyed by the fact that utd won against Stoke and the gap between them and Utd is now 3 points with Utd having played a game less. For Arsenal, we absolutely have to give everything to the match tonight and failure, sorry to say is not an option.

The team i imagine that will line up is below

Fabianski
Sagna-Djourou-Kos-Clichy
Song-Wilshere
Walcott-fabregas-Nasri
Chamakh

Subs: Chesney,RVP, Denilson,Bendtner, Rosicky, Squillaci, Eboue

I've picked chamakh over RVP today cos i feel Wenger would have seen from the display on Saturday that RVP is still short on his sharpness and simply cannot afford to take a gamble on his finishing. Hence Chamakh would step in and provide us with all the link up and hold up play that has made him so endearing to us, not to mention the 10 goals he's raked up already. Other than that i expect no other changes from the list above.

Here's hoping for an evening to remember for all of us this evening. The match is being broadcasted on ESPN at 1.10 a.m in the India Timezone.

Follow me on twitter @indigooner for updates and ramblings throughout the match.

Have a good evening wherever you are and here's to 3 points at the Emirates.

Until tomorrow.

A little bit of this and that

Good evening Gooners. Its been a while since the last blog but you can blame that on heavy drinking that is associated with NYE and the drunken stupor one spends with himself on new years day. Not to mention getting back to work the next day and realizing that life's still a bitch when it comes to work and you still hate your boss because, he still is the cunt you left behind on NYE in the hope that God would be kind enough to have him run over, as a small gift to begin the new year with. Sinister, am i not ??

Moving on to the world  of Arsenal where the holiday week has yielded more than i could've hoped for - and i know that many of you will continue cribbing about the Wigan result but please do yourselves a favor and ask yourselves if you would've imagined Arsenal winning the game against Chelsea. Am sure most of us feared the worst while a few would have gone for a draw. Only a brave few (like myself) had actually expected 3 points from that game. So that means that we are 3rd in the league 2 points behind Utd who have a game in hand and City who have played a game more. So beating them would effectively mean that we would  move into second one point above them with a game in hand.

Which is good because now we have moved into the business half  of the season where the league contenders will slowly start creating a gap between themselves and the rest of the pack. I see this years title going down to the month of May with this being a 4 horse race with only Arsenal, City,  Utd and Chelsea. Its not the Spurs bias that doesn't make them feature on the list, i do believe they do not have the legs in them to carry them throughout the season. All they need is for Gallas or Kaboul to pull a hammie and then its crash, bang, boom. While a lot of people are laughing off Chelsea and stating they might as well prepare to battle for 4th place i expect them to hit back in a a game or two at best and make a march  towards the title. How they would regret all the points dropped when this goes down to the wire. More on this subject at a later date.

In other news Lee Bowyer has been handed a 3 game suspension for his stamp on Sagna which for once is a decision that has been taken by the FA in our favor. Yet you have McLeish complaining that the FA is partial to the big clubs. Did you not see the stamp by Bowyer Mr Mcleish ?? What did you expect them to do, send Bowyer a pair of limbs he could jump on before the next match ?? Cunts

Carlos Vela will be moving to Bolton on loan come January and the deal clincher was the fact that Coyle promised Wenger that Vela would get a fair bit of first team action. I reckon its a good move for Vela, since under Coyle they have actually learnt how to play football along the ground rather than just hoof the damn ball in the air each time they caught hold of it.

The club of  pretenders had another training ground bust up today featuring our very own expats M/s Adebayor and M/s Toure. Now i know for one, that Toure is one of the nicest guys around i cant imagine what, that prick and low life creature Adebayor would have said to him to wind him up. Anyways i am hoping Ade got punched a couple of times in his face or kicked in his balls or both, repeatedly, until the sky turned very dark due to the extreme pain he felt in his uterus, yes uterus cos he sold his balls the day he mocked us by running the length of the pitch at Eastlands.

There's also the story about Munich tapping up Bendtner but i am not not going to waste my time and yours speculating into that. Bendtner is our player for this season. PERIOD

Our very own DB10 the legend has been inducted as the coach for the Ajax youth team. Here's a special shout out to him and wishing him all the very best. A very lucky bunch little pricks at the Ajax youth team i might say.

And that's all that i have to ramble on about today. Back tomorrow with a predictions on the squad, formation and scorelines and here's to hoping that normal blogging service will continue for the rest of the year.

Have a good evening wherever you are.
